Richard Collier 1952-2018

 

Rosary for Richard Gene Collier, 65, of Wills Point was held Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 followed by funeral Mass at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell with Rev. James Phillip Orosco officiating. Interment followed at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
He passed away Monday morning, Feb. 19, 2018, in Sunnyvale, surrounded by his family.
He was born Sept. 16, 1952, in Terrell, the son of Earl Beauford Collier and Regina Priscilla Cumming Collier.

He was raised in Terrell and graduated from Terrell High School in 1971. He later attended East Texas State University in Commerce.

Patrice Garrett 1952-2018

 

Mary Patrice “Patti” Sikors Garrett, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on the morning of Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018.

She was reunited with her parents, Dr. John and Shirley Sikors, both of whom preceded her into Heaven.
She was born Nov. 2, 1952 in Terrell and she graduated from Wills Point High School in 1971.

She was also a faithful and lifelong member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church where she served in various ministries.

To say she never met a stranger is an understatement. She had a unique and fun way of weaving together total honesty, exceptional wit, and boundless compassion.

Joyce Johnson 1941-2018

 

 

Memorial services for Joyce Elaine Todd Johnson, 76, of Edgewood, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory by donating to the Kimber Lee Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund: C/O City National Bank, P.O. Box 120, Wills Point, 75169.

She passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, in Tyler. She was born May 17, 1941 in Waco to parents, Guy Davis Todd, Sr. and Katherine Annetta Turner.

She was raised in Waco and graduated from Waco High School. She attended Baylor University and graduated with an associates degree.

Funeral services for Glyn Juanita Shelby, 88, of Wills Point, were held Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Ken Maddox officiating. Interment was at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
She passed away Thursday afternoon, Feb.15, 2018, in Wills Point surrounded by her family.
She was born Jan. 16, 1930, in Pattonville, the daughter of John Wesley Ray and Elsie Lee Cotton Ray. She was raised in Red River County, where she attended public school.

Dudley Reese 1941-2018

 

Dudley “Doug” Marvin Reese passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones.

He had been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in May 2017. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to many.

He was also very well respected in the community and with his circle of friends. He was born April 30, 1941 in Moran. He was a graduate of Crozier Technical High School in downtown Dallas.

Diana McDonald 1951-2018

 

 

Funeral services for Margot Diana Perales McDonald, 66, of Edgewood, were held Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at New Journey Church of God in Edgewood. Burial followed at Bright Star Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.  

She was born July 4, 1951, in Ada, Minn. to parents, Manuel S. Perales and Micaela Reyes. She married Chester Frank McDonald in Denton on June 4, 1976.

They moved to Wills Point in 1984 and she and C.F. spent 40 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 2015.

Linda Wallace 1946-2018

Funeral services for Linda Fay Wallace, 71, of Wills Point, were held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at First Assembly of God in Wills Point with Pastor Wesley Wuerch and Mr. Ronnie Lee Wheeler, Sr. officiating. Interment was at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
She passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 24, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 5, 1946 in Shamrock, the daughter of John William Wheeler and Connie Fay Dunbar Wheeler.

She was a lifelong resident of Wills Point, where she attended public school. She married Robert Wallace on Aug. 26, 1961, in Wills Point.

James Flowers 1946-2018

 

 

Funeral services for James Keith Flowers, 71, of Wills Point, were held Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Rod Brewer officiating. Interment followed at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. He passed away early Tuesday morning, Jan. 23, 2018, in Wills Point.
He was born on July 10, 1946, in Austin the son of James Wilson Flowers and Florence Eugene Foster Flowers.

He was raised in Dallas, where he attended public school. On April 11, 1981, he married Jerri Lynne Moore in Lewisville.

He was formerly employed by Cherry Air in Dallas as a welder, retiring in 2011. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, country dancing and camping.

Funeral services for Coy Lavughn Barrett, 95, of Edgewood, were held Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood. Burial followed at Small Cemetery.

Coy Lavughn Barrett was born Nov. 3, 1922, in Fruitvale to parents, Ed Barrett and Rettie Pickens Barrett. He was raised in Fruitvale and the Small community in Edgewood.

He married Ruby Jones on Dec. 5, 1942, in Terrell and they were married for 64 years. He was a World War II veteran, farmer and worked at Ford Motor Company for 20 years.

Alvin Royce Tippett

Alvin Royce Tippett

Funeral services for Alvin Royce “Tip” Tippett, 78, of Wills Point, were held Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Ronnie Brady and Tommy Brady officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry.

Mr. Tippett passed away early Monday morning, Nov. 20, 2017, in Wills Point.

He was born Dec. 17, 1938, in Scurry to Woodrow Wilson Tippett and Bennie Ruth Shankle Tippett. He was raised in Scurry and Arcadia Park. He graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas and later attended Tyler Junior College and U.T. of Arlington.

He married Pamela Joyce Hart Oct. 1, 1983, in Greenville. He owned and operated West Precision Machining in Grand Prairie for 28 years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed hunting and camping. He lived in Grand Prairie prior to moving to Wills Point in 1998. He was of the Baptist faith.
