Funeral services for Alvin Royce “Tip” Tippett, 78, of Wills Point, were held Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Ronnie Brady and Tommy Brady officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry.
Mr. Tippett passed away early Monday morning, Nov. 20, 2017, in Wills Point.
He was born Dec. 17, 1938, in Scurry to Woodrow Wilson Tippett and Bennie Ruth Shankle Tippett. He was raised in Scurry and Arcadia Park. He graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas and later attended Tyler Junior College and U.T. of Arlington.
He married Pamela Joyce Hart Oct. 1, 1983, in Greenville. He owned and operated West Precision Machining in Grand Prairie for 28 years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed hunting and camping. He lived in Grand Prairie prior to moving to Wills Point in 1998. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Bennie Ruth Tippett; son, Woodrow Tippett and his brother, Eugene Tippett.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Tippett of Wills Point; daughter, Tonalea Flannery of Hughes Springs; four sons, Ronald Brady and wife, Pamela of Keene, Thomas Brady and wife, Lisa of Belton, Douglas Tippett of Hughes Springs, and Glenn Tippett of Austin; stepsons, Tim Brumit and Lora Bailey of Greenville and Scott Brumit and wife, Nancy of Point; sister, Hazel Ruth Pierce of Terrell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Jordan Tippett, Chad Brumit, Hunter Brumit, Garrett Brumit, Dylan Tippett, Jordan Brady, Eli Brady and Travis Brumit.
