Michael McDaniel 1941-2015

Memorial services for Michael “Mike” McDaniel, 73, of Wills Point, will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. 

Interment will be at Campground Cemetery in Poetry near Terrell.

He passed away Thursday morning, May 14, 2015, due to a short but hard fight with cancer at his residence near Lake Tawakoni with his family by his side.

William Smart 1940-2015

William “Bill” Smart, 74, of Wills Point, passed away May 9, 2015.

Arrangements are with Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

No services are planned at this time.

William Vern “Bill” Smart was born Aug. 3, 1940, in Laurel, Miss. the son of Vernon and Marquerite Harmon Smart. He grew up in Dallas where he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School.

Mr. Smart served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Velma “Sue” Jackson on June 19, 1981. They made their home in Kaufman until moving to Wills Point in 1998, where they established “Smart Place To Be,” an exotic game ranch.

Mr. Smart enjoyed raising and taking care of his animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Smart of Wills Point; sons, Bill Smart Jr., Ray Smart, Jason Loos and Curtis Loos; daughter, Elizabeth Johnson; sister, Debra Wallace; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edna Mae Melton 1936-2015

Funeral services for Edna Mae Melton, 78, of Quinlan, formerly of Wills Point, were held May 9, 2015, at Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point with Pastor David Cartwright officiating.  Interment followed at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. 

Mrs. Melton passed away May 5, 2015, in Dallas. 

She was born Oct. 6, 1936, in Ennis the daughter of Turner Dobbs and Mary Smith Dobbs.  She was raised in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School. 

On May 7, 1954, she married Jimmy Melton in Dallas. 

She was employed by Dahlgren Manufacturing in Dallas, Baylor Hospital in Dallas and retired in 2000 from JS Helwig & Son in Terrell.

Douglas Beavers 1936-2015

Funeral services for Allen Douglas “Doug” Beavers, 75, of Mabank, formerly of Terrell, were held May 11, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. 

Interment followed at College Mound Cemetery near Terrell.

Mr. Beavers passed away May 8, 2015, in Dallas.

He was born June 24, 1939, in Lawrence.

David Cockerham 1938-2015

Funeral services for David Cockerham, 76, of Wills Point, were held May 14, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with the Rev. Johnny Herriage officiating. 

Interment followed at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton. 

Mr. Cockerham passed away early Monday morning, May 11, 2015, at his residence in Wills Point. 

He was born on Nov. 12, 1938, in the Hayden Community south of Wills Point, the son of Henry Benjamin Cockerham and Ada Elizabeth Cooper Cockerham.

He was raised in the Hayden community and graduated from Wills Point High School. He later attended Henderson County Junior College in Athens and East Texas State University in Commerce. 

He was a veteran of the United States Marines. 

On April 30, 1959, he married Virginia Nichols in Las Vegas, Nev.

Raymonell Aiman 1944-2015

Funeral services for Raymonell Aiman, 70, of Wills Point, were held Monday, May 4, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Mr. Russell Harris officiating.  Interment followed at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.   

She passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, at her residence in Wills Point.

Raymonell was born Nov. 11, 1944, in Dallas, the daughter of Raymond Atkins and Susie Proctor Atkins.  She was raised in Irving and graduated from Irving High School. 

Ray was a truck driver for Steven’s Transport for 20 years, Air System Components for 10 years and a dispatcher for B & V Towing in Terrell for seven years, retiring in 2012. 

She lived in Edgewood and later lived in Terrell for 20 years prior to moving to Wills Point 15 years ago.  Ray enjoyed gardening and watching the History Channel.   Most importantly she loved her family, especially her grandson, Jordan.  Ray was of the Baptist faith.

Harold Ray Foster 1937-2015

Funeral services for Harold Ray Foster, 77, of Wills Point, were held Friday, May 8, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Michael Williams officiating.  Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.   

He passed away Monday morning, May 4, 2015, in Wills Point. 

Ray was born Nov. 23, 1937, in Edgewood, the son of John Foster and Audrey Faye Reed Foster.  He was raised in Edgewood, where he attended public school.  In 1959, he married Shirley Wallace.  He lived in Edgewood prior to moving to Wills Point in 1968.  Ray retired from Texas Instruments, where he was an electrician.  He enjoyed farming, bulldozer work, NASCAR races and rebuilding tractors.  Ray attended the Edgewood Church of God. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Audrey Foster; and four brothers, Jimmy Foster, Mack Foster, Doug Foster and Larry Gene Foster.
