From left, Sheriff Dale Corbett, Marci Lewis, Rosa West, Denise Daugherty, Kristie Broyles, Kevin Tunnell and Captain Scharfenberg accept a check from Chevron to the VZC Sheriff’s Office.

On Dec. 6, Rosa West and Kevin Tunnell, representatives of Chevron stationed in the Van Field Office, presented Van Zandt County Dispatch Supervisor Denise Daugherty and VZC Sheriff Dale Corbett with a check in the amount of $5,000 from Chevron.
“Chevron representatives West and Kevin Hanken (Policy, Government and Public Affairs Advisor, Mid Continent Business Unit) toured the dispatch center on Nov. 13, at the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office, observing at that time that upgrades were desperately needed.  The funds presented were earmarked by Chevron to be used solely for upgrades to dispatch which will assist greatly in remodeling and equipment repairs,” said a spokesperson.
Sheriff Corbett would like to take this opportunity to thank Chevron both personally and publicly for Chevron’s commitment to public service and dedication to their community in Van Zandt County.
