Memorial services for Donny Lee Hamby, 38, of Wills Point, were held June 16, 2016, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Mr. Hambry died June 8, 2016.

He was born on June 24, 1977, in Dallas, to parents Donnie Hamby and Tammi Fryer. He was raised in Oklahoma City, Okla., where he attended school. He married Jodi Trowbridge  March 12, 2005, in Mesquite, where they made their home. He and Jodi moved to Wills Point in 2007 to get out of the city. He had been working for Williams and Davis Boilers Co. in Hutchins for the past year.

Funeral services for Roy Lee Kidd, 91, of Edgewood, were held May 21, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Edgewood. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Kidd died May 18, 2016.

He was born on June 14, 1924, in Pilot Point, to parents the Rev. George Kidd and Gedna Brashear Kidd. He was raised in Grand Saline and attended Grand Saline High School. He worked at his father’s general store in Edgewood before joining the Army Air Corp.

He married Christine Dunbar on Dec. 14, 1947. They made their home in Edgewood and spent 68 wonderful years together.

Funeral services for Rose Whitaker, 79, of Wills Point, were held Friday, June 10, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Wills Point.  Interment followed at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Ms. Whitaker died Monday, June 6, 2016, in Athens.

She was born Jan. 28, 1937, in Hamilton.

Funeral services for Helen Morris, 81, of Terrell and formerly of Wills Point, were held June 9, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. 

Ms. Morris died June 6, 2016, in Terrell.

She was born March 11, 1935, in Shawnee, Okla.

Faye Nell Martin, 75, of Wills Point, died June 1, 2016, in Wills Point. 

No services are planned at this time.

Ms. Martin was born June 16, 1940.

Funeral services for Ava Kathryn “Kathy” Johnston, 56, of Tyler, were held June 5, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with the Rev. David Cartwright officiating. 

Interment was at Union Grove Cemetery north of Wills Point.

Ms. Johnston died June 2, 2016, in Tyler.

She was born Feb. 23, 1960, in Dallas, the daughter of Billie H. Johnston and Laverne Beck Johnston.  She had lived in Canton at the Mill Creek Group Home for 29 years and for the past eight months she resided at the Phillips Street Group Home in Tyler.

Nancy Jo Young Haugen, of Canton, beloved, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, born on March 20, 1938, in Montebello, Calif., went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 25, 2016.

Her husband, Bill Haugen, daughter, Sharon Haugen, and grandson, Lance Caughron, preceded her in her heavenly journey. 

Funeral services for Rhonda Diane Richardson, 49, of Wills Point, were held June 2, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Mr. Russell Harris officiating. 

Interment was at High Cemetery near Canton under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Mrs. Richardson died early Saturday morning, May 28, 2016, near Lindale due to an automobile accident.

She was born April 12, 1967, in Dallas, the daughter of Cecil A. Redding and Glenda Beth McCormick Redding. She was raised in Irving and Wills Point.

Memorial service for Andrew Steven Caban, 52, of Wills Point, was held June 2, 201,6 at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.

Mr. Caban died May 28, 2016, near Lindale.

He was born Jan. 13, 1964, in Bronx, N.Y.

Funeral services for Robert Louis Cunigan Jr., 71, of Wills Point, were held Friday, May 27, 2016, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Wills Point with the Rev. Lonnie Cunigan officiating.  Interment followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

He died Wednesday evening, May 18, 2016, at his residence in Wills Point surrounded by his family.

Mr. Cunigan was born Aug. 4, 1944, in Terrell the son of Robert Louis Cunigan Sr. and Anne Pearl Lee Andrew.  He was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Cartwright High School.  He later attended Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins.
