Betty Adams

1924-2016

Funeral services for Betty Maurine Adams, 92, of Mineola, were held Sept. 7, 2016, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.  Burial followed at White Rose Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams died in Tyler on Sept. 4, 2016.

She was born June 30, 1924, in Dallas.  She married Rupert Adams on Jan. 30, 1941, and they made their home in Dallas for a short while before moving to Irving to raise their five children. 

She was employed with Sears and Roebuck Company and then the Texas Baptist Home. She was also employed with the Quinlan Independent School District until she retired. 

She was a member of Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Quinlan.

She loved to cook and spend time with all her grandchildren

Funeral services for Windle Nadine Hill, 75, of Wills Point, were held Aug. 23, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with the Rev. Charles Scarborough officiating. 

Interment followed at Woodside Cemetery in Grand Saline.

Mrs. Hill died Aug. 19, 2016, at her residence in Wills Point.

She was born Feb. 24, 1941, in Paris, the daughter of J. W. McFatridge and Vivian G. Williams McFatridge. She was raised in Paris where she attended public school.  On Jan. 24, 1978, she married Johnny Edward Hill in Mesquite. 

Visitation service for Lynn Starr Musser Foster, 60, of Wills Point, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. 

Mrs. Foster died Aug. 20, 2016, at her residence in Wills Point.

She was born Jan. 12, 1956, in Alamogordo, N.M., the daughter of Emory Starr and Lila Gossett Starr.

She lived most of her life in Wills Point and in 1974 she graduated from Wills Point High School. 

Visitation service for Kenneth “Cat” Don Vinson, 65, of Wills Point, was held Aug. 19, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. 

Mr. Vinson died Aug. 17, 2016, in Wills Point.

He was born July 11, 1951, in Grand Saline.

Funeral services were held for Don Weldon Sanford, 73, of Wills Point, Aug. 23, 2016, at Seven Oaks Baptist Church in Wills Point.

Interment followed at Garden Oaks Memorial Cemetery in Frankston. Services were under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Mr. Sanford died Aug.18, 2016.

He was born Nov. 8, 1942, in Fort Worth.

A celebration of life was held for Dolores Virginia Kensinger, 89, of Wills Point, Aug. 25, 2016, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Burial followed at Lakeside Memorial Park in Quinlan.

Mrs. Kensinger died Aug. 21, 2016.

She was born on Dec. 26, 1926, in Itawamba County, Miss.

Funeral services for Dennis Jay Mower Sr., 72, of Wills Point, were held Aug. 24, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. 

Interment followed at Mower’s Peaceful Garden north of Wills Point.

Mr. Mower died Aug. 18, 2016, in Grand Saline.

He was born Aug. 2, 1944, in Pocatello, Idaho.

Jackie Eugene Roberts, 74, and a resident of Hickory Creek, died Aug. 9, 2016, at Denton Regional Medical Center. 

Mr. Roberts was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Scurry. 

He is survived by a daughter, Natasha Lozano, and a son, Bobby Jo Roberts; two grandsons, Jory Lozano and Kai Lozano; four brothers, Ronald Roberts, Donald Roberts, Eugene Roberts and Richard Roberts and a sister, Doris.

Funeral services were held William “Paul” Cox, 62, of Mesquite,  Aug. 11, 2016 at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial followed Kyser Cemetery in Kaufman.

Mr. Cox died on Aug. 6, 2016.

He was born on March 24, 1954, in Dallas.

Memorial service for Vera Mae Mendoza, 76, of Wills Point, will be held at a later date. 

Mrs. Mendoza died Aug. 8, 2016, in Wills Point.  Arrangements are under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

She was born on Aug. 25, 1939, in Mount Olive, Miss.
