Jackie Roberts 1942-2016

Jackie Eugene Roberts, 74, and a resident of Hickory Creek, died Aug. 9, 2016, at Denton Regional Medical Center. 

Mr. Roberts was born Nov. 11, 1942, in Scurry. 

He is survived by a daughter, Natasha Lozano, and a son, Bobby Jo Roberts; two grandsons, Jory Lozano and Kai Lozano; four brothers, Ronald Roberts, Donald Roberts, Eugene Roberts and Richard Roberts and a sister, Doris.

He served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years, including a tour in Vietnam. He was a member of the Special Forces Airborne.  He was a member of both American Legion #88 and the VFW #10460 in Lake Dallas.

A graveside service was held Aug. 19 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas with military honors.  A memorial service will then be held on at 2 p.m. Aug. 20 in the Chapel of Dalton and Son Funeral Home in Lewisville.
