Jacob Ort 1992-2015

Memorial service for Jacob Franklin Ort, 23, of Farmingville, N.Y., will be held at the American Legion Hall in Port Jefferson, N.Y. Arrangements were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

He passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015, due to an automobile accident.

Jacob was born Jan. 9, 1992, in Port Jefferson Village, N.Y.

He passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at his residence in Terrell.

Buck was born Aug. 1, 1936, in Dallas.

Cynthia Plumlee 1958-2015

Funeral services for Cynthia Kay “Cindy” Plumlee, 56, of Wills Point, were held Friday, July 3, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.  Interment followed at Rock Hill Cemetery near Wills Point.

She passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in Dallas.

Cindy was born on Dec. 14, 1958, in Corsicana.

Charles Bryant 1944-2015

Charles Wayne Bryant, 71, passed away at his home in Wills Point on Monday, April 13, 2015. Charles was born Jan. 9, 1944, to Virgil and Linnie Mae Bryant in Omaha. Charles would meet and later marry Odessa Sue Goode on Nov. 24, 1994. Charles was a truck driver and painter technician for most of his working life.
Those left to cherish Charles' memory include his wife, Sue Bryant; son Darren Bryant and his wife Ann; daughters, Deanna Huckaby and her husband Davy, Brandy Bryant and Amanda Gonzalez; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother Jerry Bryant as well as numerous extended family members, friends and neighbors.

Arrangements were under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home.

Frances McEnturff 1928-2015

Funeral services for Frances McEnturff, 87, of Grand Saline, formerly of Edgewood, were held Monday, June 29, 2015, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood. Private burial followed at Small Cemetery in Edgewood.

Frances passed away at her home in Grand Saline on Friday, June 26, 2015.

Frances Pauline Herring was born Feb. 15, 1928, in Grand Saline to William and Velma Newton Herring. She grew up in Grand Saline where she attended school. Frances married J.C. “Jake” McEnturff on July 17, 1943, and they made their home in Edgewood. She lived in Edgewood until moving back to Grand Saline ten years ago.  Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook, sew and work in the flower beds. Frances will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial service for Tracy Alane McDonald Phillips, 49, of Wills Point, were held Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at the Bible Baptist Church in Quinlan.  Services were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.  She passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, in Tyler.  Tracy was born March 19, 1966, in Seminole.

Sandra Brown 1936-2015

Sandra Lou Smith, 78, of Wills Point passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.  A private memorial service is scheduled for later date.

Sandra was born Sept. 5, 1936, in Topeka, Kan. to Carl Davis Smith and Sara Elizabeth Tutt Smith. She was raised in Topeka, Kan. and with her father working as a government contractor, they lived in various cities. While Sandra attended business school in Topeka, she met and married Bob C. Brown on March 9, 1956, and they moved to Texas to make their home. They moved to Wills Point in 1976, and they were active members of Russell United Methodist Church and the community of Wills Point. Sandra was a home maker that also worked as a legal secretary for Dallas County Child Support office and Curtis Brown Law Office. She loved bingo, reading and achieved her life masters in playing bridge.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Sara Smith; husband, Bob C. Brown and sister, Delores Sue Anderson.

Raymond Rohus 1934-2015

Funeral services for Raymond W. Rohus, 80, of Wills Point, were held Friday, June 19, 2015, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point. Burial followed White Rose Cemetery.

Raymond passed away, Monday, June 15, 2015, in Rowlett.

Raymond was born Sept. 13, 1934, in Edgewood to Dwaine and Dovie Welch Rohus. He was raised in Edgewood and attended Wills Point ISD. He served his country from 1952 to 1955 in the U.S. Navy and was aboard the U.S.S. Iowa as a seaman, receiving the Bronze Star. After leaving the Navy, Raymond married Dixie “Delores” Pruitt in 1956. They made their home in Canton until moving to Dallas to raise their family. Delores passed away in 1999.

Buck Wade, Jr. 1926-2015

Funeral services for Buck Wynn “B.W.” Wade Jr., 89, of Wills Point were held Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.  Burial followed at White Rose Cemetery, Wills Point.

Buck Wynn “B.W.” Wade Jr. was born April 11, 1926, in the Morince Community just outside of Edgewood to Buck Wynn Wade Sr. and Bessie Mae Dedmon Wade. He grew up in Edgewood where he attended Edgewood High School. He continued his education attending SMU night classes.  He served in the military during World War II and was a Purple Heart recipient. B.W. was married to Inez Hunt Wade in Dallas on Nov. 19, 1947. They made their home in Dallas before moving to Wills Point in 1989. B.W. was employed as a master electrician, certified for heating and refrigeration at Mercantile Company for fifteen years and Bright Management Company for twenty two years. After retirement B.W. stayed active and enjoyed helping family, friends and neighbors.
