Sandra Brown 1936-2015

Sandra Lou Smith, 78, of Wills Point passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015.  A private memorial service is scheduled for later date.

Sandra was born Sept. 5, 1936, in Topeka, Kan. to Carl Davis Smith and Sara Elizabeth Tutt Smith. She was raised in Topeka, Kan. and with her father working as a government contractor, they lived in various cities. While Sandra attended business school in Topeka, she met and married Bob C. Brown on March 9, 1956, and they moved to Texas to make their home. They moved to Wills Point in 1976, and they were active members of Russell United Methodist Church and the community of Wills Point. Sandra was a home maker that also worked as a legal secretary for Dallas County Child Support office and Curtis Brown Law Office. She loved bingo, reading and achieved her life masters in playing bridge.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Sara Smith; husband, Bob C. Brown and sister, Delores Sue Anderson.

She is survived by her children, Danny Brown of Wills Point, Mark Brown of Wills Point, and Kelly Laque and husband, Larry of Rockville, Md; sister, Angela Kay Smith of Greenville; grandchildren, Megan Phillips and husband, David of Wills Point, Peyton Walker Brown of Colorado Springs, Colo., Andrea Nicole Brown of Garland, Ashley Bell Laque of Rockville, and Rose Marie Grace Laque of Rockville; honorary grandchild, Jamie Nell D’Amico and husband Jeff of Celeste; four great grandchildren; five honorary great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
