Jonathan Henson 1955-2015

Funeral services for Jonathan Bryan Herman Henson, 60, of Commerce, were held Dec. 28, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Cooper with Jason Cunningham officiating. 

Interment followed at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Ben Franklin under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Mr. Henson died Dec. 23, 2015, at his home of 35 years.

He was born Jan. 28, 1955, in Athens the son of Robert Kingston Henson and Pamela Elizabeth VanScoy Henson.  He was raised in Cooper.

Billy Ray Reese 1949-2015

Billy Ray Reese, 66, of Wills Point died in late December 2015 at his residence. 

No services are planned at this time.  Arrangements were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Mr. Reese was born Jan. 26, 1949, in Breckenridge the son of Doyle Ray Reese and Billie Louise Admire Reese.

Billy Jackson 1936-2015

Billy Wayne Jackson spent his life measuring the land.

 A surveyor in the oil and gas industry for more than four decades, he plotted the boundaries for thousands of wells drilled throughout the southern and western United States – some of which remain in production to this day.

On Nov. 23, 2015, his life’s journey ascended to a heavenly plane. He was 79. Memorial services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. Graveside services will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

Cecil Harris 1927-2015

Graveside services for Cecil Burnard “Jr.” Harris, 88, of Midland, formerly of Wills Point was held Dec. 11, 2015, at Union Grove Cemetery north of Wills Point with Pastor David Cartwright officiating.  Services were under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Mr. Harris died Dec. 5, 2015, in Midland.

Christine Brockman 1922-2015

Funeral services for Carrie Christine Baker Brockman, 93, of Wills Point, were held Dec. 11, 2015, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial followed at White Rose Cemetery.

Mrs. Brockman died Dec. 9, 2015, in Tyler.

She was born June 4, 1922, in Wills Point to parents Fred B. and Ellen Greenway Baker. She was a life-long resident of Wills Point, where she also attended high school.

Pearlie Lou Perkins 81, of Wills Point died in Round Rock Dec. 12, 2015.

Services will be held at 11 a.m.  Saturday, Dec. 19 at Wesley Chapel Baptist Church located at 21419 U.S. Hwy 80, Wills Point.  The wake was held Dec. 17 at Golden Gate Funeral Home located at 4155 South RL Thornton Freeway, Dallas.

Graveside services for Billy Wayne Robinson, 66, of Wills Point, were held Dec. 7, 2015, at Colony Cemetery in Alba under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Mr. Robinson died Dec. 2, 2015 in Dallas.
He was born Oct. 18, 1949, in Grand Saline.

Brian Parsons 1934-2015

Funeral services for Brian Lee Parsons Sr., 81, of Terrell, formerly of Wills Point, were held Dec. 9, 2015, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.  
Military graveside service followed at Locust Grove Cemetery south of Wills Point.
Mr. Parsons died Dec. 4, 2015, in Terrell.
He was born July 4, 1934, in Louisville, Ky.

David Musslewhite 1937-2015

David Carroll Musslewhite, 78, died in his home in Edgewood Dec. 5, 2015, due to complications associated with lung cancer.
Mr. Musslewhite, born on June 28, 1937, to Robert Chilton Musslewhite and Mildred Guinn Musslewhite grew up in Lufkin.  He received his BA degree from SMU in 1959, where he quarterbacked the varsity football team and served as President of the Student Council.  Following graduation, he proceeded directly to SMU School of Law, where he was a Barrister and won the Texas Moot Court competition.  After two years of study he departed to Oxford University where he had been awarded a scholarship by the Rhodes Scholarship committee.  There he played rugby and received a Master’s Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics in 1963 before returning to SMU to complete his law study and receive his JD in 1964.

Gladys “June” Watson 1932-2015

A private graveside service for Gladys “June” Stephens Watson, 83, of Keller, formerly of Tyler, was held on Dec. 6, 2015, in White Rose Cemetery under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home, Wills Point.
Mrs. Watson died Dec. 4, 2015, in Dallas.
She was born June 9, 1932, in Wills Point to Thomas J. and Mary Henderson Stephens.  She was a graduate of Wills Point High School.  In November 1953, she became the wife of LeRoy Watson, a U.S. Army medic who served his country during World War II.  She was an avid bridge player and devoted her life to her husband and children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Stephens; husband, LeRoy Watson; brothers, Fred Stephens and T.J. Stephens; and her sisters, Jo Hooser and Dot McElveen.
