Ronald Dean Osborn

Visitation services for Ronald Dean Osborn, 70, of Canton, formerly of Wills Point, were Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.

Mr. Osborn passed away Aug. 3, 2017, in Rockwall.

He was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Sioux City, Iowa, to George Osborn and Alvina Hintz Osborn. He was raised in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. He later attended Western Iowa Tech.

He retired from Old Castle in Terrell in 2013 after 30 years of service. He married Debi Kelsheimer Dec. 27, 2004, in Las Vegas, Nev.

He lived in Wills Point for 17 years prior to moving to Canton. In his spare time, he enjoyed wood working and spending time with his grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dedria Rae Turner on July 27, 2016; and a nephew, Michael Osborn Jr.

Funeral services for MaryLou Gift, 81, of Tyler, formerly of Wills Point, were held Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bro Dennis Ivy officiating.

Interment followed at Bright Star Cemetery north of Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gift passed away Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, in Tyler.

She was born Nov. 3, 1935, in Liberal, Kan., to Walter Charles Ross and Mary Leola Bennett Ross. She was raised in Liberal and graduated from Liberal High School in 1953.

She married Floyd Dale Gift Dec. 27, 1953, in Liberal. She lived in Garden City and Logan, Kan. prior to moving to Wills Point in 1977.

Memorial services for Joseph Paul Hess, 69, of Wills Point, were held Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at Russell Memorial Methodist Church in Wills Point with Pastor David Cartwright officiating, under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Mr. Hess passed away at his home Friday, Aug. 4, 2017.

He was born Nov. 3, 1947, in Minot, North Dakota, to the late Paul Joseph Hess and Helen Adele Mitts Hess. He graduated from Bishop Ryan High School in Minot. He then attended North Dakota State University and later graduated with a degree in economics from the University of North Dakota.

Danyell Seay Oltean went to be with Jesus on July 30, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

There will be a Pink Memorial Celebration Aug. 11, 2017, at Samuel Farm Park 100 East US Hwy 80 Frontage Road, Mesquite.

The visitation reception will begin at 6 p.m. with the memorial service at 8 p.m.

Because of her positive outlook and fun disposition, this service will be a true celebration of her life. The family requests that you wear pink in her honor.

She was born Sept. 8, 1967, to Harry Lewis Seay and Audrey Junell Ward Seay in Dallas. She grew up in Mesquite and graduated from Mesquite High School.

Most recently, she worked as an assistant activities director for Ridgecrest Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Forney.

Funeral services for John Allen Shepard, 69, of Canton, were held Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Elmo with Bro. Tim Mabe and Rev. Brian West officiating.

Interment followed at Elmo Cemetery in Elmo under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point. Mr. Shepard passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017, at his residence in Canton.

He was born Feb. 11, 1948, in Terrell to James Province Shepard and Myrtle Frances Pursell Shepard.

He was raised in Elmo and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1966. While in high school, he was a member of the WPHS football team that won the Class A State Championship in 1965.

Funeral services for Ethel Mae Heddin, 86, of Edgewood, were held Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Jonathan Leach officiating. She passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017, in Tyler.

Mrs. Heddin was born October 26, 1930, in Fruitvale to Walter B. Copeland and Annie Baker Copeland. She was raised in Fruitvale. She graduated from Garland High School in 1948. She married Major Ray Heddin Oct. 24, 1953, in Edgewood.

She worked for Edgewood ISD in the cafeteria for many years. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking and sewing.

She loved her family very much and looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Edgewood.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Heddin July 5, 2014; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services for Eddie Almeda Mansell Kelsey, 93, of Edgewood, were held Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial was at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls.

She was born Sept. 25, 1923, in Wichita Falls to the late Eddie Lee Ewing and Essie Almeda Hulan.

She was raised in Wichita Falls where she attended school. She married Roy Nelson Mansell in Wichita Falls in April of 1941, and he preceded her in death March 4, 1949.

She married J.C. Kelsey in July of 1950. They lived in Wichita Falls where they raised their four children. Mr. Kelsey passed away in 1978.

She was employed as a beautician, operating a salon and working as a nurses’ aide for many years.

She married James Parker in 1981, and they lived in Iowa Park. After he passed, Eddie married Andrew Arrington in 2002.
