Karen Jackson 1953-2016

Funeral services for Karen Geddie Jackson, 62, of Edgewood, were held Friday, May 13, 2016, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood.

Burial followed at Small Cemetery just north of Edgewood.

Mrs. Jackson died on May 9, 2016.

She was born on July 17, 1953, in Grand Saline, to parents, Henry Geddie and Cora Kelley. She was raised in Edgewood where she also attended school. She married Mark Alan Jackson in Oklahoma in 1971. They lived in Edgewood and Dangerfield. She moved back to Edgewood 10 years ago after living in Maryland to serve as a caretaker for her mother. She held various jobs over the years. She was a member of The First Baptist Church in Edgewood. She loved her family, grandchildren and pets.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Cora Geddie; and husband, Mark Alan Jackson.

She is survived by her children, Linda McLemore and husband, Brad and Michael Jackson; sister, Wynona Pendleton and husband, Larry; nieces and nephews, Kelley Clements and husband Brian, Brad Pendleton and wife, Debra and Adam Pendleton and wife, Jill; her grandson’s mother, Melissa Bell Jackson; grandchildren, Bryan and Amanda Lang and James, Mathew and David Jackson.
