Tennis team sends 12 to Regional Tournament

The Wills Point Tiger tennis team walked away champions in both the girls and boys

divisions at the District Tennis Tournament held in Van on April 5-6. 

The Tigers qualified 12 players for the Regional Tournament that will be held in Longview on April 18-19.

Medalists for the Tiger tennis program included: Cassidy Wilcoxson, first place girls singles; Maddie Brown, third place, Regional alternate; Nash Pendleton, second place boys singles; Chase Daniell/Kelsey James, first place mixed doubles; Kameron McEnturff/Claire Hiler, second place mixed doubles; Kolton Adams/Patrick Petzold, first place boys doubles; Kaitlin Perez/Maddie Baker, first place girls doubles; and Maddie Booth/Hope Turner, second place girls doubles.

The tournament included coaches from all teams in attendance, including Brent Smith of Brownsboro, Glenn Neal of Canton, Andy Breaux of Rains, Ann Daniell and Len Turner of Wills Point and Melissa Wells of Van, recognizing their senior players.

As part of the Senior Night festivities, each player received and 8x10 framed photograph and were escorted by their parents on to the court.
