Jean Murrey 199-2016

Funeral services for Jean Murrey, 87, of Wills Point, were held April 6, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Wills Point with the Rev. Don Myers and the Rev. Don Tisdale officiating. 

Interment followed at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Mrs. Murrey died April 3, 2016, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 2, 1929, in Alice, the daughter of Raymond Pratt and Jewell Bowden Pratt. 

She was raised most of her life in Wills Point and graduated from Crozier Tech High School in Dallas.  On Oct.6, 1949, she married Roland Murrey in Normangee. 

She enjoyed sewing, yard work and shopping with Bonnie Tisdale and Frances King.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she attended the Ester Ruth Sunday school class.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Jewell Pratt; husband, Roland Murrey on March 1, 1997; and two sisters, Eloise Lingold and Frances Scott.

She is survived by her son, Mark Murrey of Wills Point; daughter, Deborah Miracle and husband, Bruce, of Wills Point; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Miracle and husband, Gardner Loulan of San Francisco, Calif. and David Miracle and wife, Brinn of Houston; and one great-granddaughter, Alira Miracle of Houston.

Pallbearers were Lynn King, Randy Fitzgerald, Mike Malouf, Rusty Miracle, Herschel LyBrand, Robert Hindman, Tommy Ebarb and John Roberts.

Honorary pallbearers were James Hooks, Eric Johnson, all former employees of Murrey Motor Co. and her caregivers.
