Accident

Area first responders rushed to the Cavin Dirt Work building located at the corner of FM-751 and N. Fourth St. shortly after 12:30 p.m. Sept. 13 after a driver lost control of his vehicle. According to reports of the accident, Clifford Herriage was traveling south along FM-47 at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop at the FM-47-N. Fourth St. junction and lost control of his vehicle. Herriage crossed N. Fourth St. before hitting a ditch and getting sent airborne before striking the Cavin building. The Wills Point Police Department, Wills Point Fire Department, DPS, and Champion EMS all responded to the scene. Herriage was subsequently transported from the scene by Champion EMS for examination and a blood-alcohol screening.
