Anna Lois Patterson 1930-2018

Anna Lois Patterson, 88, Wills Point, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, went to be with her Lord and Savior after a long struggle with cancer surrounded by her family.

She was born Feb. 3, 1930 in Arkansas and grew up in Raymondville. She later married Hughie  Dean “Pat” Patterson Sr. of Texarkana. They lived in Dallas for over 30 years before moving to Wills Point in 1990 and they celebrate 66 years of marriage.

She was loved by many and loved her “big family”. Her quick wit and humor could brighten anyone’s day which she did often. Her talent for electronics, cooking, arts and crafts, painting, drawing, and crocheting was amazing and there was nothing she could not do or figure out.

She was proud of her family and was a great teacher and taught her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren valuable lessons in life. Always there to help her family or strangers and will always and forever be remembered for her great sense of fashion, laughter, humor, smile, heart, and most of all for the love and pride she felt for her family.

Anna Lois Patterson leaves a legacy behind and is survived by her husband, Hughie Dean “Pat” Patterson Sr. of Wills Point; daughter, Glenda and Ronnie Lappe of Carrolton; daughter, Debbie Patterson Gailley of McKinney; daughter, Fifi Patterson of Austin; son, Hughie Dean Patterson Jr. and wife Tammy of Wills Point; daughter, Anna and Donnie Riddle of Alba; sister, Peggy Sue Dobson of Sunnyvale; eleven grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; three special angels in heaven; in-laws; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
