Beatrice Conn 1923-2018

 

 

Funeral services for Beatrice H. “Bea” Conn, 94, of Wills Point, were held Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bro. Billy Smith and Rev. Fred Cooper officiating. Interment followed at Ferris Memorial Park in Ferris. She passed away Saturday, Feb.10, 2018, in Grapevine.
She was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Bristol, the daughter of  O. O. Hooper and Addie Lee Robertson Hooper. She was raised in Ferris and graduated from Ferris High School.

On June 3, 1941, she married George Amond Conn in Wilmer. She moved from Jacksonville in the mid 1950’s to make her home in Wills Point.

She was formerly employed by Terrell State Hospital, where she was a social worker, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and watching sports. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, T.O.P.S., and Turner Baptist Church in Wills Point, where she was an active member.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Conn; two sons, George O. Conn and John Conn; and a grandson, Jeff Conn.
She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Oma Conn, of Cedar Hill and Judy Conn, of Stillwater, Okla.;
five grandchildren, Heath Conn and wife, Debbie, Norman Lyles, Amy Conn, Joshua Conn and wife, Ashley and Julie Conn; and three great-grandchildren, Eric Conn, Dalton Lyles, and Wyatt Lyles.
Donations may be made to the Texas Baptist Home or Jacksonville College.
