Funeral services for Pauline Annie Faye Warren, 86, of Wills Point, were held, Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Jeremiah Hill officiating. Burial followed at Greenwood Cemetery in Wills Point. Services were under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
Pauline Annie Faye Warren, affectionately known as Mama, Mother, Granny, GiGi, Auntie, Aunt Faye, Ms. Faye and Faye, was born Sept. 4, 1931. She was the youngest of six children.
This Is the Day the Lord Hath Made, Let Us Rejoice and Be Glad in It.
She joined Saint Mark Christian Methodist Episcopal Church many years ago as a child. She became a member of the Stewardess Board and the Missionary Society upon her return home in 1967.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis L. Ervin Sr. and Lillian Jacobs-Ervin; her siblings, Geneva Dabney, Jewell Washington, Ruby Britt, Berniece Attaway and Willis Leslie Ervin II; her husbands, Noble Dean Cunigan Sr. and Wilson Warren; sons, Edrick Warren and Maurice Warren.
Those left to cherish her loving memories are sons, Noble Dean and Barbara, Alvin Ray and Ruby, Jerry Wayne Sr. and Rosa, and Rickey Andre’ and Lynette; daughters, Vickie Kathryn and Sharon Ann (Dale Sr); 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 4.5 great-great-grandchildren; first cousins, Rutha Bowers (Edward) and Edna Mae Browne; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends
She loved her church and sitting on her front porch speaking to and waving at all who passed by.
I now can rest in peace as I never could before, I answered the gentle knock of the angels at my door. So please don’t mourn for me as new wings I now claim. I can take my flight to heaven, because the angels came.
