Funeral services for Brenda Joyce Wilson, 75, of Scurry, formerly of Wills Point, were held Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point.
Interment followed at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry.
Mrs. Wilson passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 11, 2017, in Scurry.
She was born on Aug. 14, 1942, in Terrell, the daughter of Elias Weldon Honeycutt and Clara Belle Easterly Honeycutt. She was raised in Terrell and graduated from Terrell High School in 1961. On Feb. 13, 1962, she married Paul Wilson in Terrell. She was formerly employed by Kaufman I.S.D. as a teacher’s aide, where she later retired. She enjoyed gardening, watching TV, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and going to church. She lived in Kaufman prior to moving to Wills Point 10 years ago. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Terrell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elias Weldon and Clara Belle Honeycutt; husband, Paul Wilson; brother, David Lee Honeycutt and a brother-in-law, Herbert Harmon.
She is survived by three sons, Ricky Wilson and wife, Kristi, of Wills Point, Mark Wilson, of Wills Point and Chad Wilson, of Wills Point; two daughters, Debbie Gray and husband, Mark, of Scurry and Lisa Turner and husband, Glenn, of Wills Point; brother, Weldon Honeycutt and wife, Linda, of Rockwall; sister, Mary Harmon, of Kaufman; 13 grandchildren, Jodie Andrews, Chase Johansen, Brandon Gray, Brittany Sherwood, Kimi Smith, Amanda Crow, Dustin Wilson, Justin Turner, Ricky Paul Wilson, Brianna Gottschalk, Gavin Wilson, Jayden Wilson and Laney Wilson; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chase Johansen, Christopher Sherwood, Herbert Harmon, Jr., Paul Andrews, Ricky Paul Wilson and Brandon Gray. Honorary pallbearer was Dustin Wilson.
