Funeral services for Jerry Wayne White, 72, of Wills Point, were held Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brennon Ewen officiating. Interment followed at Haven of Memories Memorial Park in Canton. Mr. White passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, in Athens.
He was born on Nov. 20, 1944, in Frederick, Okla. to Lloyd White and Evalee Avery White. He was raised in Frederick where he attended public school. He moved to Wills Point in 1979. He married Jo Ann Adams Aug. 23, 1983.
He was formerly employed by Pike Construction, Hemphill Construction and was a self-employed carpenter in Wills Point. He enjoyed making things with his hands and collecting “treasures”. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Evalee White; wife, Jo Ann White, on August 17, 2010; son, Jody White; two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Wayne White and wife, Kelly, of Freeport, and Joel Schweitzer of Wills Point; daughters, Connie Sebree of Hollister, Okla., and Jamye Ewen and husband, Brennon, of Tyler; brother, Jimmy White of Marlow, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Donnie Pike, Joel Schweitzer, Gary Nation, Chad Massey and Brennon Ewen.
