Funeral services for Dr. Charles “Doc” Galloway, of Wills Point, were held Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at International Outreach Church under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home. Burial followed at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. Dr. Galloway passed away Sept. 9, 2017, in Tyler.
He was born Feb. 15, 1936, in Canton to the late Russell and Romilda Johnson Galloway. He lived in Canton during his early years and moved to Wills Point in the second grade. He graduated from Wills Point High School as Valedictorian. He attended Texas Christian University, East Texas State University and graduated from University of Texas College of Dentistry.
He married Kay Kethan in 1977, in Las Vegas and they were married for 30 years.
After graduating from dental school, he opened his first oral surgery practice in Houston. He moved back to Wills Point in 1979, and started his second oral surgery practice. He retired in 2008.
He was a member of International Outreach Church in Wills Point.
He is survived by his children, Jennifer Watson and husband, Steve of Tennessee, Gill
Davis and husband, Kirk of The Woodlands, Tobe Cantu and husband, Adam of
Montgomery, Samuel Galloway of Quinlan and Joseph Galloway and wife, Abby of Ft.
Worth; grandchildren, Levi, Lindsay, Logan, Lily, Hailey, Savanna, Adam, Noah, Seth and Sara Grace; and many other relatives and friends.
