Funeral services for J.B. “Buzz” Wallace, 86, of Wills Point, were held Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Jimmy Jones officiating.

Interment followed at Bright Star Cemetery north of Wills Point.

Mr. Wallace passed away Friday Aug. 25, 2017, at his residence in Wills Point.

He was born Sept. 11, 1930, in Wills Point to William Aaron Wallace and Zadie Elizabeth Perry Wallace. He was raised in Wills Point. He married Wandell Denby March 25, 1950, in Rockwall.

He was formerly employed as warehouse manager for Alexander Smith/Mohawk Carpets.

He lived in Dallas prior to moving to Wills Point in 1970. In his spare time, he especially enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and boating and was an avid gardener. He was so proud of his ability to grow the biggest and best watermelons, cantaloupes and tomatoes in the area. He was a member of Chapel of the Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Aaron and Zadie Elizabeth Wallace; four brothers, James Wallace, Jesse Wallace, David Wallace and Bill Wallace; son, Roy Wallace; granddaughter, Darla Moore; and a great-grandson, Daniel Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Wandell Wallace of Wills Point; daughters, Wanda McKibben and husband, James, of Yantis and Sheri Mitchell of Mesquite; brother, Robert Wallace and wife, Linda of Wills Point;

sister, Leita Macken and husband, Pat of Houston; eight grandchildren, Troy Smith, Dione Watkins,

Jessica Britt, Gary Paris, Lauren Mitchell, Kevin Wallace, Kristan Hammond and Kaci Wallace; and numerous great-grandchildren.
