Culinary herbs topic of program at VZC Library

Which is it "herb" or "erb"? Find out during the Van Zandt Library series "Culinary Herbs in your Garden and Diet" at 10 a.m.  June 15.

The presentation will focus on the top common culinary herbs, how to grow them and how they can be incorporated into a diet. Discover fun facts about these and other herbs that are edible and tasty. Techniques for preserving your favorite herbs will be discussed and recipes shared.

The presentation will be facilitated by Master Gardener Vegetable Specialist Nancy Szabo. Gardening has long been a hobby for Nancy who moved to Texas from Ohio three years ago. She became a Master Gardener to learn gardening techniques in this very different climate. Both Nancy and her husband retired from careers in Information Technology and now live on a 40-acre farm in Wills Point along with cows, chickens, dogs, a donkey and cat.
