Disaster relief fundraiser set for Sunday

The staff and patrons of Ramsey’s Roadhouse have been hard at work in recent weeks, putting together a fundraising effort to help the residents of Fruitvale take a step back to normalcy following the devastating storms of April 29.

Efforts put together by Ramsey’s will come together June 4 with a large-scale event that will include great food, vendors, live music, a bounce house, games and an auction from 2-8 p.m. at 505 N. Fourth St.

In announcing the event, organizers behind the effort stated, “The devastation is just overwhelming for these folks and unfortunately they will not get near the help needed. Ramsey’s Roadhouse and our awesome customers are proud to announce a special fundraiser for Fruitvale from 2 – 8 p.m. June 4. Thanks to our customers that will supply most of the food! Bring a favorite dish to share or just join us for great food and fun to help these people in their time of need.”

The primary portion of the fundraiser will be a $10 per plate meal of brisket, chicken, potato salad, baked beans and more with all money going towards relief efforts in Fruitvale. Ramsey’s Roadhouse will donate another 10 percent of all sales during their disaster relief fundraising event to the Fruitvale community.

Additionally, vendors will be able to set up free at the event with the stipulation that 10 percent of their profits from the day go towards the fundraiser. Live music is scheduled to include a performance form local favorite Fell off tha Truck.
