Son’rise service to be held at Melton Rock

A special Easter “Son”rise Service will be held at Melton Rock, Sunday, April 16. 

The McNeills are scheduled to perform at the service.  The McNeils are a “family with 10 children who all perform southern and country gospel, bluegrass and contemporary  music. The family is set to begin singing at 6 a.m.

The service will begin at 6:45 a.m.

“This will be the 22nd annual service at the legendary local landmark, Melton Rock, and will be a service honoring the ministry, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and all denominations are welcome.

The Rev. Sam Pendyala will bring the message, and the special music will be provided by The McNeills and Brand New Touch. Everyone is encouraged to dress casual and warm, and wear tennis shoes.  Church vans and busses are welcome, and everyone should bring a lawn chair, as the service may last about an hour,” remarked event organizers.

Calvary Baptist to hold Easter services

Pastor Gene Lindsey and the church family of Calvary Baptist Church invites the public to celebrate Easter at a sunrise service at 7 a.m. Sunday, April 16  followed by a centennial breakfast. Bible study starts at 9:30 a.m. followed by worship service at 10:30 a.m.

Calvary Baptist Church is located at 800 Tawakoni Drive in Wills Point.
