Memorial services for Suzanne Stanley, 78, of Garland are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at Tree of Life Lutheran Church with Pastor Clint Thorson officiating.

Graveside services will be held at Haven of Memories Memorial Park at a later date to be officiated by Pastor David Cartwright.  She passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, surrounded by her children.

She was born in Waxahachie to Casley and Susie DeGrand, and was raised in Midlothian. She married Samuel W. Stanley in 1961.  She was a legal secretary and real estate broker.  She was a member of St. Phillips United Methodist Church in Garland.

She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed needlework and crocheting, as well as watching football and golf; but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Charles DeGrand; and infant daughter, Cynthia Ann Stanley.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Stanley and wife, Daphne of Garland; daughters, Sherri Rowe and husband, Lynn, of Wills Point, and Staci Stanley and husband, Josh Theobald of Castle Pines, Colo.; granddaughter, Becca Rowe; grandsons, Michael Rowe and wife, Lea, Ethan Manor and wife, Felica Roget, and Zac Manor; great-grandson, Aiden Rowe; and great-granddaughter, Elly Manor.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
