David Baker 1959-2016

Funeral services for David Earl Baker, 56, of Wills Point, were held July 13, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Monty Jones officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery near Wills Point

Mr. Baker died early July 10, 2016, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 4, 1959, in Wills Point, the son of Leon Baker and Selma York Baker.  He was a lifelong resident of Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1978.

He was formerly employed by J & L Utilities in Edgewood, Madix in Terrell and he retired from Minc Co. in Dallas, where he was a pipe fitter.

On Feb. 15, 1991, he married Carol Christie in Dallas.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and telling jokes.  He was a member of House of Grace in Edgewood.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis and Linnie York and Fred and Bessie Baker; and a sister-in-law, Susan Baker on March 6, 2005.

He is survived by parents, Leon and Selma York Baker of Wills Point; wife, Carol Baker of Wills Point;

daughters, Bobbie Lea Baker of Wills Point and Diana Finch and husband Paul of Wills Point; sons, Steven Hulse of Wills Point, Shane Hulse of Wills Point and Mark Hulse of Quinlan; brother, Tommy Baker and wife Jan of Edgewood; sister, Katie Rose Baker of Wills Point; eight grandchildren, Jonathan Hulse, Crystal Hulse, Brian Hulse, Hayden Hulse, Aaron Collard, Garrett Collard, Amber McAlester and Alex Hulse; and niece, Jennifer Seale of Edgewood.

Pallbearers were Jonathan Hulse, Paul Finch, Albert Christie, Shane Hulse, Steven Hulse, Dyde Manning, III, Brad Goggans and Ryan Massey

Honorary Pallbearers were M.J. Mitchell, Jim Turner, Darrell Baker and Charles James.
