Crime Stoppers asks for help in theft cases

Van Zandt County County Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving two recent theft cases.

Two businesses on 1-20 were burglarized May 31.

A large Lincoln, gas-powered welder, DeWalt cut off saw with an Evolution blade, a Victor cutting torch, balck truck tool box full of tools and several log chains were taken from LaPrade Steel.

The company is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons that broke into their facility located at I-20 and FM 17 during the early morning hours May 31

Four Bad Boy riding lawn mowers – two Mavericks and two ZT Elites – were taken from Canton Powersports Connection located at 18019 I-20.
