Myrtle Springs Alumni hear Show Stoppers

Patrons attending the Myrtle Springs Alumni “Straw Hat” Dinner Theater were entertained by the Canton High School Show Stoppers Choir April 30.

The choir is one of the groups organized and under the direction of Angela Russell of the CHS music department.  Students participating were freshmen to seniors.

Kim Chitty, spokesperson of the alumni association, said the audience was “amazed by the talent these young people have and their ability to blend their voices in a most incredible manner.”

Students participating in the program were Megan Gebauer, Lexi Veihl, Micah Stanley, Bryce Terry, Matthew Hook, Skylar Walukas and Mila Harrison.

Those attending also enjoyed a delicious meal prepared by the alumni association, Chitty said.

The alumni association has plans for monthly events throughout the year. The next event, an inside sale, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 13 and 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Chitty said all prior sale items are gone and new items have been collected and new donations continue to be accepted.
