Stephen Adair 1947-2016
Memorial services for Stephen Earl Adair, 68, of Wills Point were held April 9, 2016, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Wills Point.
Services were under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
Mr. Adair died April 4, 2016.
He was born June 5, 1947, in Dallas, to parents, Alvis Thomas Adair and Alma Jane Moore.
He was born and raised in Dallas until leaving for The United States Coast Guard.
He worked in construction for Brown and Root Construction Company. He also had a band named Steve Adair and the Hired Hands.
He then worked at Terrell State Hospital, where he met Clarise Annette Konecek and they married on June 27, 1997, and made their home in Wills Point.
He worked for Parkland Hospital and retired in July 2012. He loved motorcycles, horses and music and was an avid reader and traveler.
He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Wills Point. He was an Odd Fellow at IOOF Fisherman’s Lodge #191.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and infant granddaughter, Brandy.
He is survived by his wife, Clarise Adair; daughters, Stephanie Adair of Broomfield, Colo., Debbie Davis of Marathon, Fla. and Cindy Moore and husband, Kevin of Colorado.; stepson, Lowell Franklin and partner, Corey Childress of Garland; sister, Sharon Estep of Kissimmee, Fla.; stepsisters, Docia Gay Chabot and Debbe Chabot Hawkins of Mesquite; sister-in-law, April Dugan and partner, Gordon Wilson of Parma, Ohio; brother-in-law, Martin Konecek and wife, Lynn of Parma, Ohio; and grandchildren, Cody Davis, Cory Davis, Mercedes Adair, Max Adair and Mark Moore.
