Loans available for residents affected by disaster
The U.S. Small Business Administration announces the availability of disaster loans for Van Zandt County residents affected by the Dec. 26, 2015- Jan. 21, 2016 disasters.
For those residents affected by the severe winter storms, tornados, straight-line winds and flooding, low interest rate loans are available.
Application filing deadline is May 31, 2016.
“If you are located in a declared disaster area, you may be eligible for financial assistance through the U. S. Small Business Administration,” said SBA Director Herb Austin.
SBA representatives will be available at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center at the Van Zandt County Regional Airport, located at 36671 State Hwy. 64, Wills Point.
The center will be open from 1 to 6 p.m. April 13; from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 14 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 15.
“No appointment is necessary. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions, explain the application process and help each individual complete an application,” said Austin
Businesses of all sizes and private nonprofit organizations may borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery, equipment or inventory. SBA also lends to businesses or homeowners to help with the cost of improvements to protect, prevent or minimize the same type of disaster damage from the occurring future.
