Panjo Hay 1926-2016
Funeral services for Panjo Jean Hay, 89, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Bobby Hartline officiating.
Interment will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery north of Wills Point.
Mrs. Hay died early Tuesday morning, March 8, 2016, at a nursing home in Terrell surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Edgewood, the daughter of Luther A. Fisher and Ruby Jordan Fisher. She was raised in Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1943. Two years later on May 12, 1945, she married Harvey Hay in Wills Point.
She was owner/operator of Tawakoni Stop in Wills Point from the 1960’s until she retired in 1974. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Wills Point Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Fisher and Ruby Miller; husband, Harvey Hay in September 1994 and a sister, Rita Shires.
She is survived by a son, Jim Hay, of Wills Point; daughter, Suzy Younger, of Katy; six grandchildren, Owen Younger and wife, Kathleen, of Frisco, Matt Younger and Jodi Pendarvis, of Katy, Denise Hartline and husband, Bobby, of Round Rock, Amie Harris and husband, Greg, of Royse City, Melissa Bunch and husband, Shannon, of Forney and Jamie Rogers and husband, Eric, of Avon, Ind. And nine great-grandchildren, Madelene Hartline, Aidan Hartline, Alex Hartline, Ethan Harris, Reese Harris, Emme Blu Bunch, Karlie Rogers, Jaxon Rogers and Sam Rogers
Pallbearers are Owen Younger, Bobby Hartline, Shannon Bunch, Eric Rogers, Greg Harris, Pilo Herrera and Doyle Ethridge.
Honorary pallbearers are Matt Younger and Bob Holt.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
