Margaret Butler 1943-2016
Memorial services for Margaret Ann Butler, 72, of Wills Point, were held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point.
Services were under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
Mrs. Butler died March 3, 2016.
She was born March 31, 1943, in Nacogdoches, to parents Roy D. Council and Essie Mae Edwards.
She was raised in Nacogdoches where she also attended school. Following graduation, she moved to the Dallas area to raise her family. After her first marriage, she married Ron Butler on May 10, 1979, at the Methodist Church on Preston Road in Dallas. They soon moved to Wills Point in 1989, where she was a bookkeeper for various places and owned “Let us help” cleaning company in Wills Point.
She was a member of the Russell Memorial UMC in Wills Point. She very much enjoyed painting, crafts and making floral arrangements. She was a garage sale enthusiast, liked to fish, but loved her family and the time she had with them the most.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Essie Mae Council; and step-daughter, Tony Albritton.
She is survived by Ron Butler of Wills Point; sons, Bill Brooks and wife, Paula of Wills Point and John Butler and wife, Lori of Tyler; daughters, Cindy Brooks of Wills Point and Angela Evans and husband, Greg of Temple; sister, Mary Lou Jackson of Houston; niece, Jennie Kelly and husband, Pat of San Angelo; grandchildren, Amanda Frasier, Dustin Baum, Tori Baum, Daniel Evans, David Evans, Ty Albritton, Christopher Butler and Jennifer Brooks; as well as six great- grandchildren.
