Ramona Malone 1934-2016
Memorial servicse for Ramona June Malone, 82, of Wills Point, were held Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Pastor Brandon Bachtel officiating. Interment was at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
Mrs. Malone died Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 17, 2016, in Grand Saline.
She was born Jan. 26, 1934, in Boswell, Okla., the daughter of Raymond Howard Davis and Sylvia Pearl Dancer Davis. She was raised in Boswell and Hugo, Okla.
On July 3, 1953, she married James Mac Malone in Dallas. She was formerly employed by the Wills Point ISD as a teacher’s aide, retiring in 2002.
She lived in Dallas prior to moving to Wills Point in 1973. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking, going shopping and spending time with family. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Wills Point, where she was director of the Adult-5 Bible class and also was very active with the youth. She was currently a member of Seven Oaks Baptist Church north of Wills Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Sylvia Davis; husband, James Mac Malone on Oct. 1, 2004; grandson, SSG. Jimmy Mac Malone; brother, Randy Thornton and step-brother, Gary Thornton.
She is survived by a son, Marty Malone of Wills Point; daughter, Jayme Lopez and husband, Manuel of Wills Point; two sisters, Rebecca Busch and husband, Charlie of Terrell and Billie Joy Totty and husband, Adrian, of Muskogee, Okla.; brother-in-law, Tommy Malone and wife, Linda, of Wills Point; one grandson, Marcus Malone of Bedford; two great-granddaughters, Reagan Malone, of Wills Pointand Zella Malone, of Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews
