Child sexual abuse prevention workshop March 5

East District United Methodist Women is sponsoring a Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Workshop from 9 a.m. until noon March 5, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 5302 Business Hwy. 69, Greenville.

Main emphasis will be Stewards of Children (Darkness to Light) which is a two-hour presentation, according to Brenda Bennett.

“Also being offered are presentations on Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), Long-term Health Consequences of Child Abuse presented by a family physician and Raffa Clinic (teenage pregnancy) which has offices in Greenville and Quinlan,” she said. “Registration for Stewards of Children is necessary to ensure everyone has a workbook. There is noO charge for this workshop and continuing education units are available if needed.
