All about underpants
The craft for the day was a cut out silhouette that each child got to dress in their favorite color clothes during StoryTime at VZC Library.
Children at Storytime at VZC Library Jan. 22 learned all about getting dressed and learned that the first step is putting on underpants.
“Underwear,” by Mary Elise Monsell was read to children and is about Zachary the zebra who does not like or snaps or sleeves or slippers or zippers but he did like “underwear” of all descriptions.
The next story was “Dinosaurs Love Underpants” by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort. Dinosaurs were all wiped out, a long way back in history. No one knows quite how or why but the answer may just be underpants.
The third book was “I’m Gonna Climb a Mountain in my Patent Leather Shoes” by Marilyn Singer. Sadie and her family go camping and she has packed her favorite patent leather shoes, her ballerina skirt and many stylish accessories – Everything a girl needs to have an adventure. Will she be able to catch the mysterious monster with her lasso of pearls and magic gold wand? You will have to check out this book to find out the answer.
