Wills Point among Edgewood Tournament competitors
The Wills Point Tigers will continue what has seemingly turned into an annual tradition following the Thanksgiving holiday by making the pilgrimage to Edgewood Dec. 3-5 to compete in the 49th Annual Edgewood Invitational Basketball Tournament.
Participants of this year’s tournament are set to include host Edgewood, Fruitvale, Quinlan, Scurry-Rosser, Commerce, Sunnyvale, Winnsboro, Red Oak Life, Alba-Golden, Hawkins, Kaufman, Hooks, Palestine, Kemp and Mineola.
First day action of the tournament is set to include:
-Edgewood vs. Fruitvale: 12:30 p.m.
-Quinlan vs. Scurry-Rosser: 11:10 a.m.
-Wills Point vs. Commerce: 9:50 a.m.
-Sunnyvale vs. Winnsboro: 7:10 p.m.
-Red Oak Live vs. Alba-Golden: 4:30 p.m.
-Hawkins vs. Kaufman: 1:50 p.m.
-Hooks vs. Palestine: 3:10 p.m.
-Kemp vs. Mineola: 8:30 a.m.
Games are set to continue throughout Dec. 4 and Dec. 5. The Consolation Champion contest will be held at 5:50 p.m., the third place game will take place at 7:10 p.m. and the Championship game will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 5.
