Lady Tigers to host own tournament
Photo by Adrianne Granger - The Wills Point Lady Tiger defense will face some of the most talented teams in all of East Texas Dec. 3-5 when they host the annual Wills Point Lady Tiger Classic.
The Wills Point Lady Tiger basketball program will receive a stiff test shortly after the Thanksgiving holiday, making their first of three scheduled tournament appearances this season.
Wills Point will have the benefit of being home Dec. 3-5, taking the court at the Lady Tigers Basketball Classic.
Participants of this year’s Classic are set to include Anna, Kemp, Quitman, Van, TCA, Life, Edgewood, Kaufman, Brownsboro, Malakoff, Mabank and host Wills Point.
Game action on the opening day of the tournament is set to include:
-TCA vs. Van: 10 a.m.
-Life vs. Quitman: 11:30 a.m.
-Kaufman vs. Edgewood: 1 p.m.
-Brownsboro vs. Mabank: 2:30 p.m.
-Wills Point vs. Kemp: 4 p.m.
-Anna vs. Malakoff: 5:30 p.m.
First day winners will move on to the Championship Bracket, while teams that lose on the first day of the tournament will compete in the Consolation Bracket Dec. 4.
The tournament champion game is scheduled to be played at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 5.
