Barbara White 1947-2015

Funeral services for Barbara Jean White, 68, of Edgewood, were held Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015, at Roundflat Pentecostal Church in Fruitvale with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.  Interment was at small cemetery north of Edgewood under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

She passed away early Tuesday morning, Aug. 11, 2015, in Grand Saline.

Barbara was born July 12, 1947, in Dallas, the daughter of William Howard McCord and Sally Cline McCord.  She was raised in Dallas, where she attended public school.  On Sept. 28, 1963, she married David White in Dallas.  Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, singing, ceramics, playing bingo and hosting first cousin parties.  She lived in the Grand Saline and Fruitvale areas most of her life.  Barbara attended Roundflat Pentecostal Church in Fruitvale.

She was preceded in death by her dad, William Howard McCord on July 3, 2015; sister, Sandra Kay McCord and husband, David Alton White Sr. on Oct. 23, 2009.

Barbara is survived by her mother, Sally Vestal, of Grand Saline; son, David White, of Grand Saline; daughter, Tanya Smith and husband, Phillip, of Edgewood; brother, Jerry McCord, of Grand Saline; two sisters,         Patricia Martin and husband, Gary, of Alba and Tammie Havard and husband, David, of Mineola and two grandsons, Aaron Smith and Ty Smith.

Pallbearers were Aaron Smith, Ty Smith, Bobby Pannell, Taylor McCord, Andrew McCord, Halstyn McDonald, Ruston Lewellen and David Havard.
