Dagley celebrates 94th birthday

Margaret Dagley celebrated her 94th birthday with her great-great nephews Brian and Levi of Tyler and great-great niece, Jaiden of Nevada.

A celebration was held in honor of Margaret Dagley’s 94th birthday June 6. Margaret was born June 7, 1921. 

Bob and Nancy Kapitan, Mary Glover and Frank and Inez Keller of Tyler took Margaret to a Terrell restaurant for dinner.  There was nice visiting and laughter, attendees said.

 Margaret was then taken to Garland to attend a David Allen (Elvis) concert.  David recognized Margaret’s birthday to the audience which brought a great applause.

Sunday morning, June 7, was a happy and surprising day for Mrs. Dagley, family members said.   

She attends Turner Baptist Church.  When she went into the church there she saw most of her family there to be with her. 

Margaret then headed to the Lumber Yard Café for lunch and a huge, beautiful birthday cake.  There was much laughter, visiting, picture taking and happy hearts, family members said.

Enjoying the occasion were Mrs. Dagley’s  sister, Virginia and husband, James West of Fort Worth; niece, Elicia and husband, Phillip Stone of Garland; nephew’s wife, Lanee and sons, Brian, Lee and Levi of Tyler; niece, Missy Bararra and daughter, Jaiden of Lavon; niece, Donna Kelly of Henderson; and Jim and Beverly Whatley; nephew and wife of Henderson.

Mrs. Dagley said “There is nothing like the love of a family, especially at my age.”
